  • Express by Holiday Inn is the proud winner of the Best European Budget Brand Hotel award as voted by the readers of Business Traveller magazine.

  • Business Traveller Magazine (Middle East)

    InterContinental was named the Best Business Hotel Group in the Middle East during the Business Traveller Middle East Awards, the region's leading independent poll of travel consumers.

  • Successful Meetings Magazine

    The InterContinental Miami won a Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings Magazine. Pinnacle Awards are granted to 250 of the most prestigious hotels and resorts worldwide and the winners are chosen by more than 75,000 meeting, incentive travel and convention planners around the world, who select and rate hotels based on the quality of the facilities and services they offer.

  • Condé Nast Traveller Magazine

    For the third year in a row, the Willard InterContinental Hotel received the top rating as the finest of Washington DC’s five deluxe hotel properties in the Condé Nast Traveller Gold List, a list for which more than 29,000 magazine subscribers cast votes.

  • Freddie Awards Winner

    Priority Club® Rewards won three coveted first-place honours and ranked in the top three in 11 of 16 possible hotel frequent guest awards categories at the 15th Annual Freddie Awards heldon April 24, 2003. InsideFlyer Magazine readers selected IHG's loyalty programme as the Best Hotel Newsletter (Americas and International) and Best Hotel website (International).

  • 2003 Oglethorpe Sword

    Steve Porter, President – The Americas for InterContinental Hotels Group received the prestigious 2003 Oglethorpe Sword awarded by the British American Business Group of Atlanta.

    The award is presented annually to the business person – British or American – judged to have contributed most to British-connected business interests in Georgia during the preceding year.

    Steve Porter, President – The Americas for InterContinental Hotels Group was recognised by Business Travel News as one of 25 executives whose efforts made the most significant impact on the business travel industry in 2003 in their January 2004 issue.

    Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts "Towel Amnesty Day" Advertising campaign takes top honours at Adrian Awards.     Two hotel brands under the InterContinental Hotels Group portfolio were recognised for superior guest satisfaction. InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and Candlewood Suites were honoured by Market Metrix, LLC for superiority in customer satisfaction during the wth quarter of 2003.

  • Public Relations Society of America's Phoenix Award

    Holiday Inn Express was presented with the Public Relations Society of America's Phoenix Award. Holiday Inn Express' media campaign supporting the launch of the Express Start Breakfast Bar was recognised for top honours in media relations, demonstrating excellence in the public relations profession in Georgia in October 2003.

  • Bronze Golden Flame Award by the International Association of Business Communicators, Georgia Chapter

    Holiday Inn Express was presented with the Bronze Golden Flame Award by the International Association of Business Communicators, Georgia Chapter. Holiday Inn Express' media campaign supporting the launch of the Express Start Breakfast Bar was recognised for media relations for excellence in communications in October 2003.

  • Franchise Times' Top 200 list

    Three hotel brands under the InterContinental Hotels Group portfolio were named in the top 75 U.S. franchises by Franchise Times. Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts ranked 15, Holiday Inn Express ranked 47 and Crowne Plaza ranked 65. The magazine's Top 200 list is the industry's gold standard and is based on system-wide sales and units.

  • North America's Leading Business Hotel

    InterContinental The Barclay-New York was named "North America's Leading Business Hotel" at the 10th World Travel Awards. The event, held on 13 October 2003 in New York celebrated achievements in all areas of the travel and tourism industry.

  • Best Hotel for Business Travellers

    Williard InterContinental Voted Washington, D.C.'s Best Hotel for Business Travellers by Readers of Travel + Leisure Magazine.

  • One of Ten Great American Companies

    Holiday Inn named one of Ten Great American Companies in Fortune Small Business.

    Holiday Inn was honoured as one of “Ten Great American Companies” in Fortune Small Business magazine, whose name transcended business to become part of American culture.
