Our Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy influences how we manage our economic, social and environmental impacts and how we engage with our stakeholders.
We are committed to building a strong culture of CR and recognise that the test of our commitment is how we behave each day, at every level in our hotels and in the communities in which we operate.
The IHG Board, with a dedicated CR Committee, has provided input in order to shape our CR Strategy. Central to our strategy is addressing issues which are important to the communities in which we operate and which support our business objectives. In short, our high priority actions are those that provide us with the opportunity to do the right thing whilst positively influencing our guests’ hotel stay and enabling us to better manage our impacts.
We also focus on the things which make common sense. These have been defined by the priorities outlined in our stakeholder feedback.
In this section:
We explain our approach to responsible business which is about creating value for our business whilst at the same time doing positive good for society and the environment. Our priority issues are highlighted here and throughout the report you will see how they drive our approach. Find out more about:
