Geoffrey Lee is Senior Vice President Lifecycle & Growth, EMEAA, based in Denham, UK.
Geoffrey leads development for all of IHG®'s brands in EMEAA for franchised and managed hotels, overseeing deals through the design and pre-opening phases until the hotels open into the IHG system.
In his previous role, Geoffrey was responsible for driving the Regent Hotels & Resorts design philosophy globally. He also led the design work for Kimpton® hotels, the InterContinental® Hong Kong renovation, and some special projects in in Greater China.
Geoffrey is one of Australia’s leading professionals having worked with Woodhead Architects & Designers for 30 years - 22 years as Managing Director - building it to become one of Australia’s largest architecture and design companies.
Geoffrey’s passion is hospitality and, in late 2011, he joined IHG to lead the Design & Engineering team with a large pipeline of new projects and refurbishments in Greater China.
Geoffrey has lived and worked across various regions, including London, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore and his hometown Sydney, and in a number of industries including Transport, Commercial, Industrial, Retail and Hotels.
Geoffrey holds a Bachelor’s degree of Architecture from University of New South Wales, Sydney. Geoffrey completed the “Hotel Planning and Design” course at Cornell University in 2001, and has served on various Tourism Committees in Australia.
