International Tourism Partnership
Collaborating with the International Tourism Partnership (ITP), we believe we can be a force for good and make a positive contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By working together, we can drive change further and faster than on our own. In 2017, along with other industry peers, we developed and launched a set of industry goals to impact key issues around the world including:

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index, in collaboration with RobecoSam, highlights businesses that show outstanding performance in tackling the biggest social, environmental and economic issues in their industries. In 2017, IHG was named industry leader in RobecoSam’s consumer services industry group, which includes hotels, resorts and cruise lines, and the highest score in the industry on its Corporate Sustainability Assessment. IHG ranked first for several criteria, including climate strategy, code of business conduct, human rights, stakeholder engagement, and customer relationship management. RobecoSAM’S Industry Group Leader Report noted that we had "achieved the leadership position in the Consumer Services sector with outstanding performance in industry's most material issues. The nature of the hospitality sector demands a holistic and clear understanding of guests’ needs in order to guarantee long term business viability."
The results of the survey are published on the Bloomberg professional platform, making them accessible to investors and other stakeholders.
