InterContinental London Park Lane: A Condé Nast Traveller UK Business Hotel of the Year 2009

InterContinental London Park Lane has been recognised by the elite consumer title Condé Nast Traveller as the top internationally branded business hotel in the UK.

The hotel, which underwent a stunning £76 million transformation in 2006, was placed in fourth overall position by the Condé Nast Traveller's Readers' Travel Awards as their favourite venue for doing business in the UK.

Offering 60 elegant designer suites, including four signature suites, a highly-reputed chic urban spa, the innovative interactive Cookbook Cafe and award-winning restaurant Theo Randall at The InterContinental (voted as the Italian Restaurant of the Year in the London Restaurant Awards), InterContinental London Park Lane has climbed up the ranks from 2008's seventh position, where it scored highest for its food and restaurants with an almost perfect score of 97.98.

General Manager Alvaro Rey comments:  "It really means something to us to be regarded as a top five hotel in a Condé Nast Traveller award and I want to thank all the readers who voted for us, however,  we have set our sights on doing even better next year. We occupy one of the City's most prestigious addresses, Number One Park Lane, and we are the global flagship for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, part of the world's largest hotel group, IHG. We are setting a precedent across London for hotels by building on excellent quality and service to deliver authentic and enriching London experiences to our guests".

In other parts of the world InterContinental Paris Le Grand in France, InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort in Cyprus, InterContinental Sao Paulo in Brazil and Willard InterContinental Washington DC in the US received top honours in various business, leisure and spa award categories.
