Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is pleased to announce the official opening of the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel tomorrow.

Located in the heart of downtown Sacramento, the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel is steps away from Golden 1 Center, home of the Sacramento Kings, providing enviable views of modern Sacramento from a serene retreat.

The 250 guest rooms draw inspiration from the region’s breathtaking natural beauty and feature bright pops of color, thoughtfully designed for comfort and ease. The interior design of the hotel rooms and spaces was curated by local designer David Lee with globally-known design firm, Puccini Group. The woodwork is beautifully milled California oak. Subtle shades of gray and brown echo the Sierra Nevada Mountains and vast fields that produce Sacramento’s farm-to-fork bounty. The hotel features 35 suites providing sensational views of Golden 1 Center and downtown. Premium suite options offer jetted soaking tubs for two, separate living areas, sizeable workspaces, plush robes and luxury bath amenities. 

The lobby serves as the heartbeat of the hotel as the 30-foot floor to ceiling windows bring the outside in, making the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel contemporary and urban. As guests enter, they’ll immediately discover Sacramento’s rich gold rush era history with gold accents featured throughout the property, including the gold nugget front desk. 

The hotel’s third floor features Sacramento’s first ever rooftop pool as well as the hotel’s bar and lounge, Revival at the Sawyer. The lounge overlooks Golden 1 Center and Downtown Commons (DOCO), featuring a sleek and sexy vibe, that will bring a nightlife experience unlike any other to the area. From sun-up to sun-down, hotel guests can enjoy six cabanas and order poolside snacks during the day, elevated bites in the evening and handcrafted cocktails that incorporate Sacramento’s farm-to-fork movement. In the evening, Revival at the Sawyer will transform into one of the hottest nightlife spots in the city with DJ’s and live music, making it the perfect urban getaway for visitors and locals alike. 

Boasting over 22,000 square feet of event space, the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel is the ideal location for corporate meetings, events and weddings. Each event space features windows that overlook DOCO and downtown Sacramento and brings in natural light.
