IHG® opens Holiday Inn® in Lusaka, Zambia

The brand returns to the capital

IHG® Hotels & Resorts (InterContinental Hotels Group), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, today announced the opening of the newly built 162-room Holiday Inn Lusaka, Zambia. Located in the Embassy District and with close proximity to Lusaka National Museum, the new Holiday Inn Lusaka returns to the city with a fresh, vibrant and modern design for local and international guests. 

Only 20 minutes drive from the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, the Hotel is located at the corner of Birdcage Walk and Haile Selassie Avenue. It is housed on the Western Wing of the InterContinental Lusaka Building in close proximity to most embassies, government and corporate offices.

All guests’ rooms are stylishly designed with a modern feel true to the promise of the Holiday Inn brand, which guarantees guests’ comfort and convenience, Holiday Inn Lusaka offers the following features:

  • 132 guest rooms including executive rooms, standards room and universally accessible rooms with an ergonomic work space designed with today’s travellers in mind, giving them the ability to work and play anywhere in the room.
  • 30 long stay suites. The room design is ideal for both business travellers, serving as a separate place to work or relax and unwind, and families with kids and teens, giving each member of the family a comfortable place to sleep and play. 
  • Birdcage Restaurant, Bar and Deck offers in a contemporary vibrant setting an all day A La Carte menu and buffet breakfast whilst the Kids Stay & Eat Free programme makes the hotel a wonderful option for families. IHG® Connect, which provides a seamless Internet experience, is available for guests as well.
