IHG Hotels & Resorts announces the opening of avid hotel Chicago O’Hare – Des Plaines, located less than three miles from one of the world’s busiest airports and the first hotel in Illinois for the rapidly growing brand. With this most recent opening, avid hotels now has 53 locations open across the U.S and Mexico.

• avid hotel Ocala: Opened on April 8 and is owned by Ocala Investment One, LLC., this property is minutes from downtown Ocala and the Ocala International Airport-Jim Taylor Field as well as the area’s most popular sites like the Appleton Museum of Art, Silver Springs State Park, Ocala National Forest, and HITS Post Time Farm.

Since opening the first avid hotel in 2018, the brand has grown quickly across North America. There are currently 53 properties open, and more than 150 hotels in the pipeline.  The first avid hotel in Canada is expected to open later in 2022 in Vaughan, Ontario.  Additional avid hotels are opening soon in great locations like Wenatchee, Washington, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
