Vignette Collection celebrates milestone anniversary with 14 hotels signed or open in its inaugural year
Vignette Collection, the latest addition to IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, is this week celebrating the first anniversary of its inaugural property opening, Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Valley with news of further expansion across the globe. The blossoming Luxury & Lifestyle hotel collection has a strong and growing portfolio of 14 highly distinct properties, with two already serving customers in Brisbane and Bangkok, and is on track to deliver on its ambition of securing more than 100 properties in 10 years.
Vignette Collection is a family of one-of-a-kind, exclusive hotels curated for guests seeking rich and varied stay experiences in some of the most sought-after urban and resort locations and enriches IHG’s fast-growing Luxury & Lifestyle offer for both leisure and business travellers. Promising luxury with purpose, Vignette Collection hotels weave responsibility, community, and locality together, and exist to make a positive impact in every way possible. The brand also gives owners of world-class independent hotels the opportunity to retain their distinctive identity, while benefitting from IHG’s global scale and luxury and lifestyle expertise.
Since opening to guests in December 2021, the brand’s first property, the award-winning, Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Valley, a 146-room hotel with distinctive design and luxurious facilities, has been followed by Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok, a new A-list address for the city’s travellers. Casa da Companhia, one of the most prestigious and characterful buildings in the heart of Porto, featuring a wealth of first-class amenities, will open as the brand’s first property in Europe this month.
Its growing pipeline will also soon see the brand bring its unique style to countries such as Austria, Mexico and Zimbabwe, with additional openings planned in the US, Europe, Middle East and Asia in the next few years.
Vignette Collection hotels are unique in their own right; each has their own distinct outlook and story to tell. Yet, the hotels are connected by a shared vision that travel can benefit local people and places, with each hotel engaging with a local initiative of their choosing, as part of IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow ambition. Complimentary rituals at each property create a sense of anticipation and connection and meet a growing demand for more thoughtful travel experiences.
- Hotel X: guests can enjoy curated sounds of locally renowned DJs every Friday, while sipping on some of the very best local drinks, to kick start their weekend. The hotel has also established its own “Xcellence” programme in partnership with a local school to offer career development opportunities.
- Sindhorn Midtown: guests can sample the hotel’s signature Lao Khao shot, served daily with a selection of pickled fruits, while younger guests can dial the Emergency Popsicle Line to receive a complimentary iced treat, delivered promptly by a dedicated Popsicle Butler. The hotel is also proud to partner with the Kuvanant Foundation, which aims to provide educational opportunities for local students and those living with disabilities in rural areas of Thailand.
