Introducing Regent Bali Canggu
Coastal haven rides a new wave onto the shores of Bali’s surfer silhouetted Southwest Coast
Bali, 26 November 2025 – The first Regent in Indonesia is now open on the shores of Canggu. Here, between the Indian Ocean and terraced hills of Balinese rice fields, Regent Bali Canggu stands in perfect equilibrium – a sanctuary of serenity and stimulation.
Regent Bali Canggu is emblematic of IHG’s reimagination of the Regent brand, born from the belief that life is at its best when we rise beyond distractions. The hotel will feature the world’s first Regent Spa and six distinctive dining options, two of which are helmed by award-winning chef Andrew Walsh. With captivating sea or garden vistas and many offering direct lagoon access, the resort’s 150 oceanside rooms and suites stand are cocooned within the verdant tropical landscape of Canggu’s coastline.
Manish Puri, General Manager of Regent Bali Canggu, said: “It is our privilege to bring Regent to Indonesia – a brand with such legacy. Our way of life at Regent Bali Canggu is inspired by the spirited energy of surf culture and the calming effect of our coastline. These contrasts are celebrated through the resort’s invigorating design, storied experiences and unmistakable Balinese charm. Our intention is to uplift our guests, awaken the senses and spark fresh perspectives as they unravel the spirit of Bali.”
A Sculpted Sanctuary
Regent Bali Canggu is designed to celebrate stillness through evocative details which draw from the surrounding Balinese villages and rice paddies. Soft silhouettes in stone, teak and marble trace the horizon as celadon tones echo the sea. Natural light filters through intricate lattice screens to reveal a considered interplay between openness and privacy – the design of WATG Architects, with interiors by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) interiors and landscape design by John Pettigrew.
Among the resort’s 150 oceanside suites and villas, the 618 sqm Penthouse features its own 30 sqm private beachfront infinity pool spectates above the sea. Further two Bedroom Suites comfortably accommodate groups of six, with spacious bedrooms and separate living areas ideal for multi-generational or group gatherings.
A design signature of Regent, Personal Havens create beautifully inviting spaces throughout the resort – be it within an Oasis bathroom, guest room, lobby or outdoor terrace. These environments balance form and function to create places for private reflection or lively connection. Tech-enabled connectivity enables Personal Havens to be personalised with individual choices from food and drink to scent and sound. Examples of Personal Havens at Regent Bali include Regent Bali Canggu’s poolside cabanas, which frame the pool and lagoon and feature all-inclusive menus and beachside binoculars, inviting the young to spectate the surfscapes Canggu is known for. Within rooms, Oasis bathrooms offer bathing rituals can be customised to recharge, recover, deepen sleep or even sooth sunburnt skin.

The First Regent Spa & Wellness
Regent Bali Canggu will debut the world’s first Regent Spa – the creation of IHG’s dedicated in-house Spa & Wellness consultants Raison d’Etre. Poised to also feature at Regent Jeddah Corniche and Regent Kuala Lumpur in the coming years, the Regent Spa & Wellness concept invites guests to follow a transformative path where the mind resets and the senses are elevated. Each step is guided by a clear intent to heal and uplift wellbeing to new personal heights, weaving vibrating crystal energy, soothing aromas and restoring light frequency.
At Regent Bali Canggu, the experience is serene and thoughtful, tapping into Indonesia’s wellness legacy to offer a curated collection of restorative therapies. Treatments are delivered within one of seven restorative treatment rooms – one especially for couples – and include Balinese inspired scrubs, wraps and massages, as well as up-to-the-minute skincare treatments. A Bali signature, The Massage Revolution, is performed on a warm quartz sand bed that gently cocoons the body as deep pressure and neroli essence is applied to calm the senses and enhance natural healing.
The journey extends to rejuvenating hydro-wellness facilities which feature a vitality pool, invigorating ice baths and saunas designed to stimulate circulation, release tension and awaken the senses. These carefully orchestrated experiences support the body’s natural renewal and deepen a feeling of calm and clarity. Each experience is crafted with intention to restore balance and elevate inner harmony.
A 24/7 Health Club with dual-functionality spaces enables exercise enthusiasts to stretch, breathe and practice yoga in the mat-based studio, or elevate their heart rate in the spacious gym.
An Epicurean Exploration
Six dining venues at Regent Bali Canggu guide guests on a culinary journey across Balinese, Asian and International cuisine. Two signature restaurants – Sazón and Cure Bali – are helmed by award-winning Chef Andrew Walsh, whose menus draw from his Irish heritage, the flavors of Nordic European waters and the untamed wilderness.
Sazón, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant located along Batu Bolong, offers a relaxed neighborhood hideaway. Its menus celebrate the convivial spirit of the region – rustic, generous and made to share. Citrus-cured seafood and fire-roasted vegetables sit alongside slow-cooked meats and grilled flatbreads, layering vibrant textures with a touch of flame.
Opening in early 2026, Cure Bali takes cues from Chef Andrew Walsh’s Michelin-starred Singapore flagship. Here Asian influences meet Indonesia’s rich, seasonal produce in dishes crafted with precision and imagination.
In addition, Taru presents authentic Indonesia dishes – such as rendang sapi and udang bakar pete – honoring archipelago’s culinary heritage, complimented by a Beach House, Pool Bar and Lounge.
