IHG Hotels & Resorts Enhances the Guest Journey with Concert-Focused Hospitality Solutions in Greater China
3 September 2026, Shanghai – IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) is enhancing the guest journey with concert-focused hospitality solutions across Greater China, responding to the growing demand for live entertainment travel. From tailored hotel packages and convenient transport links to exclusive loyalty rewards, IHG is turning concert outings into extended travel experiences – helping guests make the most of their concert journeys beyond the venue.
Extending the Concert Beyond the Venue
Live entertainment tourism continued to gain significant momentum across Greater China in the first half of 2026, with demand expanding beyond tier-one cities. Concertgoers are increasingly looking for more than a ticket – they want convenient late-night transport, dining and places to unwind before and after shows. IHG hotels are responding with concert-focused hospitality solutions designed around these needs.
- As InterContinental Hotels & Resorts marks its 80th anniversary with “DOORS UNLOCKED” programme, the brand is extending the “Ticket Stub Economy” into theatre and the arts. Through collaborations with leading cultural institutions in Beijing and Shanghai, InterContinental Shanghai Ruijin connects guests with performances at Shanghai Culture Square, while InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun offers access to selected theatre productions as well as exhibitions at UCCA Center for Contemporary Art. Participating hotels also offer packages combining cultural experiences with stays and exclusive benefits, creating new ways for guests to discover their destinations.
- InterContinental Beijing Beichen, located near the National Stadium (Bird’s Nest) and the National Indoor Stadium, offers special benefits for guests attending nearby concerts, including accommodation and dining offers across its restaurants and lobby lounge. Guests can also collect eight Beijing-inspired themed stamps during their stay, adding a local touch to the experience.
- HUALUXE Beijing Xinan offers its “Spotlight Night” room package, including breakfast for two, a travel kit and round-trip transfers to Huaxi LIVE Wukesong Arena. Concert ticket holders can also enjoy dining discounts at the hotel’s lounge and Mian+.
- InterContinental Hangzhou ICC, located just one metro stop from the city’s main concert venue, offers a concert package that includes accommodation, 24-hour in-room dining, refreshments for two and late check-out. Guests presenting a valid concert ticket can also receive a special gift pack and dining offers.
- Holiday Inn Shijiazhuang High-tech Zone addresses late finishes, transport and dining needs with a dedicated concert package. Alongside accommodation and breakfast, the hotel arranges return transfers based on show times, with summer drinks and concert-themed gifts. Guests can also unwind at the hotel’s heated swimming pool.
- InterContinental Quanzhou Taihe provides concert shuttle services to Quanzhou Strait Sports Center and Jinjiang Second Sports Center. The hotel shares transport information and reservations through its digital channels, while its concierge team coordinates departures on concert days.
Turning Points into Live Entertainment Experiences
Alongside hotel offers, IHG One Rewards gives members more ways to enjoy live entertainment. Through the Rewards Catalogue, members can redeem points for access to IHG VIP boxes at leading venues in Shanghai and Beijing. Selected experiences are also available through IHG’s official flagship stores on platforms including Meituan, giving more members access to these offerings. IHG One Rewards has also partnered with Live Nation Asia, connecting live entertainment opportunities in Hong Kong and Taiwan with IHG’s hotel network across Greater China, giving members greater access to sought-after live events as part of their travels.
Looking ahead, IHG will continue to explore opportunities across concerts, music festivals, sporting events and other cultural experiences in Greater China, drawing on its hotel network, diverse brand portfolio and IHG One Rewards to meet evolving guest and travel needs.
