IHG Hotels & Resorts Expands Travel Experiences Through China’s Growing “Ticket Stub Economy”

3 September 2026, Shanghai – IHG Hotels & Resorts is tapping into China’s growing “Ticket Stub Economy” by connecting live entertainment with broader travel experiences. Across its hotels, tailored offerings address concertgoers’ needs around accommodation, dining and transport, while IHG One Rewards provides members with access to live events. Together, these initiatives extend the concert journey beyond the venue and encourage further destination discovery across Greater China.

Extending Live Entertainment Beyond the Venue

In the first half of 2026, travelling for live entertainment continued to gain momentum in Greater China, with demand expanding beyond major cities. Convenient late-night transport, dining and places to unwind before and after shows are becoming increasingly important for concertgoers. IHG hotels are responding with services and packages designed around these needs.
