At Six Senses Fiji, protecting and restoring the natural environment is central to resort operations and is done through its Regenerative Impact Fund.
Resort teams take practical action to protect biodiversity and restore natural habitats, including safeguarding endemic wildlife, managing invasive species and regenerating native vegetation. Since 2018, a key focus has been the conservation of the Fijian Crested Iguana - a critically endangered species, native to Fiji. Conservation efforts have delivered measurable results, with iguana sightings more than doubling between 2018 and 2025.
This work is also woven into the guest experience. Visitors can join guided night walks through the resort’s Iguana Reserve with members of the Sustainability team, exploring the forest after dark and learning about the species in its natural habitat, alongside other nocturnal wildlife such as bats and owls.
Together, these initiatives show how Six Senses Fiji integrates long‑term environmental stewardship into everyday operations, creating meaningful, location‑based experiences that connect guests with nature while supporting resilient island ecosystems.
