Holiday Inn Express Madrid – Airport achieves LEED gold certification

The Holiday Inn Express Madrid – Airport proudly achieved LEED gold certification in August 2023. The building is fully electric and has implemented a range of ECMs including LED lighting, low-flow bathroom fixtures to reduce hot water consumption for showers, efficient building façades to reduce heat loss, as well as implementing solar panels and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems. These initiatives have contributed to annual electricity consumption reducing by approximately 44%. The hotel also has EV charging available for guests.
