Supporting students

We were proud to sponsor the Global Travel and Tourism Partnership (GTTP) student travel research competition for the second year this year. The competition, which aims to help marginalised young people access hospitality careers, took place at the Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Festival City. Winning students from each participating country were invited to attend the conference and present their research to a global audience on the theme ‘Building a Resilient Workforce for a Sustainable Future’. They also enjoyed the chance to take a behindthe-scenes tour of the hotel learn about the future of travel technology, visit the trade floor to speak to businesses about a career in the sector and hear from IHG about our Skills Academy, which is helping to inspire the next generation of hospitality professionals. More than 1,000 schools from around the world took part in the contest.
