IHG® announces EVEN® Hotels bi-coastal expansion with openings in Sarasota and Eugene

InterContinental Hotels Group® (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, announced the bi-coastal expansion of the EVEN® Hotels brand, with openings in Sarasota, Fla. and Eugene, Ore. 

The EVEN® Hotel Sarasota – Lakewood Ranch is located just off I-75 near miles of white, sandy beaches. Owned by Zieg Hospitality, the hotel features 128 rooms and 4 suites along with 2,566 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is conveniently located near shopping venues, restaurants, arts and cultural attractions, Siesta Key Beach, and is just eight miles from the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. The EVEN Hotel Sarasota marks the first Florida location for the brand, with a second property slated to open summer 2018 in Miami.

On the West Coast, EVEN® Hotel Eugene is conveniently located near Downtown Eugene; one mile from the Autzen Stadium, north of the University of Oregon. The 100-room and 2 suite property, owned by VIP Hospitality Group, offers 1,061 square feet of meeting space and a heated indoor pool. A second West Coast location will open in April; a dual-branded EVEN® Hotel and Staybridge Suites in Seattle.

As soon as guests arrive at an EVEN Hotel property, natural elements of wood and living plants create a welcoming and revitalizing space. The hotels offer different design and technology elements to help guests maintain the balance they desire while traveling. The EVEN Hotels experience is built on four key pillars:

Eat Well – Cork & Kale is a café featuring healthy to indulgent made-to-order options for breakfast and dinner. It has been carefully designed to provide guests with a balance of health-conscious and indulgent items while on the go, whether fueling up for a long day of meetings, powering a workout or relaxing with a fresh, signature cocktail. The Cork & Kale menu emphasizes variety, dine-in meals and quicker options like breakfast sandwiches and fresh salads from the Grab-and-Go marketplace, available 24/7 for guests’ convenience.

Keep Active – Every EVEN Hotels property features the Athletic Studio, a gym three times the size of a standard hotel gym, with bright, natural light, and featuring best-in-class fitness equipment – TRX bands, free weights, customized Woodway treadmills, spin bikes and water rowers. Additionally, every EVEN Hotels guest room features an in-room fitness zone with a dedicated workout space with in-room equipment and 18 different workout videos, ranging from 10 to 30 minutes in length. Properties offer running maps at the front desk for guests who want to explore the area on their own. 

Rest Easy – Restful environments are essential to maintaining balance, and a calming, open design throughout EVEN Hotels sets a relaxing tone within the property. Guest rooms offer a signature sleep experience designed with eucalyptus, natural fiber and high-thread count linens which provide a cooling effect to support a better night’s rest. Each room features color LED mood lighting so guests can select the options to create a relaxing and calming environment. In addition, EVEN Hotels offers a nighttime tea service to help travelers calm the mind after a busy day.

Accomplish More – Ergonomically designed work spaces at the property are configured to integrate with guests’ preferences, ensuring they can complete work comfortably and efficiently. Guestrooms feature stand-up desk options. Places to sit back, relax and catch up on the day include the hotel’s outdoor garden. Best described as an urban chic oasis, the garden features exposed brick walls, ample comfortable seating, an abundance of greenery, great lighting in the evening and great sun exposure during the day, giving guests space to relax and rejuvenate whenever they like. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the hotel.

EVEN Hotels is expanding with eight hotels now open in New York City, Rockville, Md.; Norwalk, Conn.; Omaha, Neb.; Eugene, Ore. and Sarasota, Fla.; and several hotels in the pipeline including a dual-branded property Seattle, as well as Miami and Pittsburgh.
